Unconstitutional IRS must be reigned in

The federal government has collected a record amount of taxes during the time period of October 2014 through January 2015. According to the Monthly Treasury Statement, federal tax collections were a record $1.046 TRILLION during the period. Notwithstanding, the government spent $194.209 TRILLION during the period, and government spending is up 8.3% over the same period last year. So how is the government collecting so much money? Through an unconstitutional agency called the Internal Revenue Service. One of the reasons it is unconstitutional is that the IRS does not have to undergo due process to seize your money. You are guilty until proven innocent, constituting a culture of fear and bullying.

Just ask Illinois Republican Congressman Peter Roskam, who is chairman of the Ways and Means oversight subcommittee. Roskam held a hearing on IRS seizures of taxpayer money–seizures that took place without due process. Roskam said the IRS has too much power, especially when it seizes assets of taxpayers when it doesn’t have evidence of a crime. Roskam said, “The IRS doesn’t have to give notice to the account-holder before seizing the assets. And the IRS doesn’t have to prove that the person is actually guilty of anything – just that the account probably is involved in structuring.” So we have a Congressman stating that your rights to due process are violated by the IRS. He needs to fix it.

Testifying at the hearing was Andrew Clyde, a former Seabee who served three tours in Iraq, and owns a gun shop in Georgia. His insurance would not cover losses of more than $10,000. He would therefore carry less than $10,000 when he made bank deposits. A law designed to catch drug dealers and terrorists requires that deposits of more than $10,000 must be reported. But if you consistently deposit just less than $10,000, the IRS seizes your assets and makes you prove that you are not guilty of criminal activity. AP reports that Clyde was never accused of anything illegal, yet the IRS filed a civil complaint against him and made several offers to settle the case by forcing him to forfeit large portions of his money.

Remember the IRS is the agency that was used by the White House to intimidate its perceived foes. Gun owning, former veterans and Christians were at the top of the list according to one of the first reports released by Homeland Security under the current “president.” Now before some Christians rush to quote me part of what Jesus said in Mark 12:17, “Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s,” be reminded that America is not a Roman dictatorship. Also know Acts 5:29, “We ought to obey God rather than men.” God’s law says not to covet. The IRS, as part of the government of the people, covet’s your earnings, meaning the government of the people also covets. We the people are allowing it. We are part of it. We must demand it stops. The government must live within the means of the people–not TRILLIONS beyond it.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

After serving in the United States Navy for 22 years I retired from the service late in 1991. Having always loved the southwest, shortly after retiring, I moved to the Albuquerque area where I have resided since. Initially I worked as a contractor for approximately 6 years doing cable construction work. That becoming a little dangerous, at an elevated age, I moved into the retail store management environment managing convenience stores for roughly 16 years. With several disabilities, I am now fully retired and am getting more involved with helping Pastor Dewey & Pastor Paul with their operations at FGGAM which pleases my heart greatly as it truly is - "For God's Glory Alone". I met my precious wife Sandy here in Albuquerque and we have been extremely happily married for 18 years and I am the very proud father to Sandy's wonderful children, Tiana, our daughter, Ryan & Ross, our two sons, and proud grandparents to 5 wonderful grandchildren. We attend Christ Full Deliverance Ministries in Rio Rancho which is lead by Pastor's Marty & Paulette Cooper along with Elder Mable Lopez as regular members. Most of my time is now spent split between my family, my church & helping the Pastors by writing here on the FGGAM website and doing everything I can to support this fantastic ministry in the service of our Lord. Praise to GOD & GOD Bless to ALL! UPDATED 2021: Rick and Sandy moved to Florida a few years ago. We adore them and we pray for Rick as he misses Sandy so very, very much!
