I am but a small town preacher. Truly, a voice calling out in the wilderness.
Even so, I know that I am not alone in declaring the truth of God’s word. Absolute truth does exist. This truth is found in the Lord and He demands that we declare it without wavering. I am not ashamed of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I am a preacher.
Last night, the city of Albuquerque made a choice.
I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live, loving the Lord your God, obeying his voice and holding fast to him, for he is your life and length of days, that you may dwell in the land that the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.” -Deuteronomy 30:19-20
The Duke city did not choose life, the people chose death and a curse. Harsh words, I know, but I am not sent to comfort us in our evil choices.
Albuquerque chose last night to remain the abortion capitol of the west, if not the United States. We did not fight for the innocent and the helpless children who loose their lives to the hedonism of their own mothers and the greedy people who grow rich and drunk on the blood of the innocent.
The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and jewels and pearls, holding in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of her sexual immorality. And on her forehead was written a name of mystery: “Babylon the great, mother of prostitutes and of earth’s abominations.” And I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints, the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. -Revelation 17:4-6
Woe to Albuquerque, woe to New Mexico for the choice that has been made. Our generation has chosen sin and death over life. We willingly engage in fornication, enslaving young women to the government as husband and provider so they are not bound to the men they bring to their bed for a season.
These enslaved women, bound by sin’s chains, are having children without marriage to bind them all the more or killing them to instead bind their hearts.
Do not think that men are free because they appear to be free. They too are enslaved to their fornications. The emptiness of their hearts cry out as they have exchanged their birthright for a bowl of porridge.
It was reported just the other night that Albuquerque is being overrun by gang violence with over 300 different gangs in the Bernallio county area alone. Drugs, alcohol and violence are becoming even more common in the Duke city and we have just flung the doors wide open.
Woe the those in Albuquerque and woe to those in New Mexico who call themselves by the name of the Lord and did not stand up for our helpless and innocent citizens, but instead chose to support a woman’s right to fornication and murder instead. Shame on us for allowing those that hate the lives of children to outspend us four to one.
We have loved the darkness more than the light.
And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.
-John 3:19-20
New Mexico has made it’s choice. From same sex marriage to abortion, the message is clear. New Mexico has rejected the Lord and His ways this week. We are, as a state, joining ourselves to the nation and the world in opposition to God.
For God has put it into their hearts to fulfill His purpose, to be of one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled. -Revelation 17:17
Clearly, this does not surprise the Lord.
If you have read this far I challenge you, in the Lord, to look at where you are. Turn from your evil choices. Turn instead, to the ways of the Lord. The ancient paths that still can be found. Those preachers that came before me used to say, “repent”. We are to reject what seems right to us, in favor of what God calls right.
God will judge Albuquerque’s decision and New Mexico’s choices, of that you can be sure. But, He will also judge the living and the dead for their choices. This day, will you choose life or will you choose death, The Lord recommends that you choose life.
Waited for the results last night and have been so grieved to know that only close to 49,000 people got themselves out to vote to ban this horrid murder of life and the evilness with 58,000 voting rejoice!! But what a “rejoicing” it is!! Thanks for the article. It is one I am sorry you had to write. I just shake my head and think of the many many more registered to vote , Christians did not go down and stand up for the unborn in a number large enough to defeat the darkness!! Incredulous to me, and like you I say “Woe”!!
Thank you for your words, it will sound very harsh to those who don’t believe it is wrong, but we are talking about LIFE. I, too was terribly disappointed, but thankful for the 49,000 that did vote.
Well written Pastor. A devastation blow to our city last night and I find myself devastated. Especially after seeing the relatively good news from the supreme court on the Texas bill yesterday. I’m praying for our ‘lost’ city!
