Beheading Update
There is disturbing news today of yet another beheading. This time it happened not in some far-off location halfway across the globe, but in Moore, Oklahoma.
Late yesterday afternoon a recently-fired employee walked into a food processing plant and attacked a woman with a meat carving knife, severing her head. He then attacked another woman. He was stopped only when a company executive and off-duty sheriff’s deputy shot him.
Two points are worth making here: First, employees at the plant say the attacker was a recent convert to Islam and had been attempting to convert others. But I suspect this incident will be labeled “workplace violence,” just like the Fort Hood shooting.
Second, this evil was only stopped by a good guy with a gun. Just like Nazism and every other evil tyranny before it, radical Islamism will only be defeated if the free peoples of the world stand up and fight back.
The Real War On Women
There’s a report out today that the left’s “war on women” rhetoric is falling flat with voters. But there is a very real war on women going on in the Muslim world.
According to the Associated Press, Samira Salih al-Nuaimi, a human rights lawyer and activist, was seized from her home in Mosul, Iraq, tried in a Sharia court for apostasy and found guilty. She was tortured for five days before being publicly executed Monday. Her crime? She posted messages on Facebook condemning ISIS for destroying religious sites.
The AP also notes that female political candidates in neighboring areas are being hunted down by ISIS fighters. One was killed Tuesday, and a second is missing.
That is the reality of radical Islam’s war on women. Let’s see if actress Emma Watson has the courage to stop lecturing Western countries rooted in Judeo-Christian values, and take her #HeForShe campaign to the “Muslim world.”
Illegals Ignore Court Orders
While the American people are justifiably focused on beheadings, the federal government is now admitting that it is losing the vast majority of illegal family units apprehended at the southern border. Seventy percent are failing to show up for their court ordered hearings.
A few months ago, when thousands of illegal immigrants were pouring across the border, the Obama Administration tried to look tough in the face of that crisis. In fact, we even got headlines like this one: “Obama Talks Tough: Child Immigrants Can’t Stay.”
But every reporter in Washington — and most Americans — knew that just wasn’t true. Two months later, the very same publication that ran the previous headline gave us this one: “Obama Prepares Schools For Migrant Kids.”
The fact is our immigration laws are not being enforced. In spite of this year’s surge of illegal immigration, deportations are at the lowest level since 2007.
Kudos, once again, to Senator Jeff Sessions! Senator Sessions is vowing to make enforcement of our immigration laws and opposition to executive amnesties a key issue in the confirmation battle of the next attorney general.
Military Amnesty
The Pentagon has announced that it is allowing illegal immigrants who qualify for Obama’s Deferred Action amnesty to join the military. Keep in mind that this new program is coming as Obama plans on dramatically reducing the military.
His budget calls for the Army to be shrunk to pre-World War II levels. Thirty-thousand soldiers and many officers are being let go, but we’re making room for illegal immigrants?
