With all the darkness coming out about professional athletes the last couple of weeks, this story will brighten your day. That is why the LORD says, “Turn to me now, while there is time. Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning. Joel 2:12News and Views-DeweyLast night at the Camp Meeting at Emmanuel Ministries in Rio Rancho, Pastor Marty Cooper spoke about ‘U-Turns’. He shared how he was once headed down a wrong road in is younger years and took a u-turn, going back to the Lord, seeking the Lord’s face. Pastor Marty shared on how important it is to seek Godly wisdom, not worldly wisdom. Late this baseball season, my favorite team the Minnesota Twins acquired Atlanta Braves outfielder Jordan Schafer. He was once considered a top prospect, but went down the wrong road, but he took a u-turn and returned to God. Jordan got some help from Braves coach Scott Fletcher who is a christian. I have to add, when I was living in South Bend, Indiana I would get to see Fletcher play for the White Sox, he was a scrappy player, he hustled all the time. This story shows that we must help each other, we must help those that are struggling. The Lord used Scott Fletcher to help Jordan Schafer take that u-turn: twincities.com/twins/ci_26560…
