What a revelation! Oh so strong is the power & the word of GOD!!!
My heart bubbles in joy as I read this article as this is a similar situation I recently went through.
Although, unlike Kirsten, I have always believed in GOD, I had never really applied Christianity in my life or studied the word. It was kind of like something that I knew was out there if I needed it but never attached myself wholeheartedly to it and only turned to it in times of need. Thankfully, for reasons I don’t understand, He was still always there when I needed Him despite the lack of respect I should have been showing Him.
Pastor Dewey entered my life almost two years ago & our first meeting was at one of the stores I was managing at the time & our first encounter was as he was checking out with one of my customer service representatives & as he left the store, his final statement was “GOD BLESS YOU”. Suddenly, my heart opened and I rushed out the store to discover his two precious 4 legged family members, Buffy & Reno & our relationship only grew stronger from there. We both love dogs tremendously!
Shortly afterwards, one of my brothers in Dallas Tx suddenly passed away & I was not able to travel to attend services. Pastor Dewey helped me greatly through that incident. Very shortly afterwards we lost one of our precious 4 legged family members (whom I think was one of GOD’s precious little Angels) & she was literally ‘Daddy’s Little Girl’ with thousands of memories. My heart was broken & I was having a terrible time dealing with it. Roughly two weeks later after MUCH praying I was sitting in my recliner and suddenly I felt a warmth on my chest that felt exactly the same as where my little Suzy-Q use to lay as we watched TV together and again, suddenly felt little puppy kisses on my chin as she would frequently do during these sessions. The feeling of warmth & those little kisses did not dissipate for HOURS! I knew in my heart that she had been brought back to me to let me know she was OK!!! There just wasn’t ANY question about it in my mind; I just didn’t understand how and was so confused I almost hesitated asking Pastor Dewey about it.
The following day, Pastor Dewey explained ‘The Holy Ghost’ to me; WOW!!!
Our relationship, & even more importantly, my relationship with our LORD, has only grown at unbelievable leaps & bounds ever since & I have NO intention of every looking back again!
I know this is a long comment, but I should also mention that this last year, for those who don’t know me, I was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer which had spread through my chest and up my neck & into my chin and my prognosis was ‘Very Poor’. After a tremendous amount of chemo & radiation treatments and ‘thousands’ of prayers, I recently had my scan where they were unable to find a single living cancerous cell in my body!!! Praise GOD!!!
Give it to GOD & He will return it thousands of times over again!!!
