New Mexico Failure in Education Solution: Focus on The Family

Politicians, School Administrators and School Board members keep putting the spin on the failing education system in New Mexico. Why does New Mexico continue to put up with such dysfunction? I don’t get it, year after year New Mexico is marked by failure in the Public Schools. Whether it’s a Democrat or Republican in the Governors chair. God needs to be at the head of Education, of course we never hear a politician publicly declare that much, in the past I have interviewed State Rep. Nora Espinoza of Roswell, State Senator Bill Sharer of Farmington and State Rep. Alonzo Baldonado of Belen and they are so very strong on Biblical principles. We just need more of them in New Mexico and in the United States! I am sadden for my state that failure continues in Public Education, my heart breaks for the children of this state, there is no hiding from the grade F! We learned last week that we are going backwards in the graduation rate here in New Mexico! Not forward.but BACKWARDS! This is very alarming! Where is the uproar from parents??? The graduation rate in New Mexico for 2014 was 68.5 percent compared to 70 percent in 2013. AWFUL! God needs to be at the head. Jesus Christ is always the answer. Every time I hear a Politician announce another Education mandate I get sick and see a picture of a rat hole…..money being poured into a rat hole. This problem of Education starts at home. We have many children in New Mexico, nearly 30 percent  that only get one good meal a day. When I talk with teachers about education, they point to the home. So many homes have been torn apart by divorce, having children out of wedlock, no parent in the house, grandparents, aunts and uncles raising the children. Teachers tell me that many children come to school in the same clothes for days, unbathed and hungry. So you see the problem starts at home. We have allowed Satan to tear apart the fabric of the American home. As an Albuquerque school teacher told me point blank, “A revival is needed in our homes, focus on the family.” Do we recall what the “Family Unit” means? It is the duty of the Body of Christ to raise up our Children, to be the light of Jesus Christ to them.  We have so many problems in New Mexico, the killing of babies, rampant drug and alcohol abuse, one of the most violent crime states, how can we raise up children in a Godly way well we allow abortion in this state? You can’t set a Godly example for children when you allow the murder of children. So very dysfunctional.  We are not being obedient to God. We are suffering from the ramifications of not following God’s way.

Root cause of failure: God is not at the head and we do not focus on the children and their individual needs and the family unit. 

One side notes: It was announced last week that Albuquerque Public Schools face a $22 Million shortfall.

Also Teachers that I talked to are afraid to use their names because of the concern of retaliation.

Talk is cheap, Godly action is what is needed.

You cannot murder babies and be a role model for Children.
