We as a nation are corrupting are youth.  As other states look at legalizing marijuana, I pray that they look at this report coming out of Colorado. When Sharon and I visited Denver this past month the downtown area was full of young people who were homeless. Some shelters say that the legalization of marijuana has caused an increase of younger people living on the city’s streets. Urban Peak, which provides food, shelter and other services to homeless people from 15 to 24 years old in Denver and Colorado Springs, is seeing an increase. Kendall Rames the Deputy Director of the Facilities for Urban Peak told the Denver Post, “Of the new kids we’re seeing, the majority are saying they’re here because of the weed.”  In an informal survey the the Salvation Army found that the increase they are seeing of young men, is for the same reason, available pot. 1 Timothy 4:12 – Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. pot
