Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’s spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh said Wednesday that the PA is not interested in who will be Israel’s next Prime Minister, adding that it expects whichever government emerges in the coming weeks to recognize a Palestinian state with its capital in eastern Jerusalem in line with what he called “legitimate international resolutions.” However, Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat told AFP on Wednesday that “It is clear that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will form the next government, and for that, we say clearly that we will go to the Hague Tribunal, we will accelerate, continue and intensify” diplomatic efforts to battle Israel.
