Netanyahu Calls Meeting With Obama “One of the Best”

Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Barack Obama attempted to lay to rest their long history as diplomatic sparring partners, as they smiled and shook hands in front of television cameras at the start of their much anticipated meeting at the White House on Monday morning.
“It was a very good and constructive meeting,” Netanyahu told reporters after his two-and-a-half hour conversation with Obama, which ran 45 minutes beyond its scheduled time.
“It was one of the best,” he added.
Unlike some past conversations, “there were no arguments or confrontation,” he explained.
Netanyahu and Obama have successful White House summit
US President Barak Obama hosted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House Monday in a summit aimed at putting the acrimony surrounding the nuclear deal with Iran behind them and rebuilding cordial ties ahead of next year’s presidential election in the US. In a joint press appearance prior to their meeting, both men stressed the security cooperation between the two countries and downplayed any lingering political discordance. “It’s no secret that the security environment in the Middle East has deteriorated in many areas, and as I’ve said repeatedly, the security of Israel is one of my top foreign policy priorities. And that’s expressed itself not only in words, but in deeds,” Obama said. He continued by saying “We condemn in the strongest terms Palestinian violence against innocent Israeli citizens.
