Prayer Changes Minds, by Karen Rowe

 

What I have learned about people.

To deny the truth, avoid the truth, or tell a lie stems from the root of shame, guilt & condemnation.
Jesus is the root of truth, freedom from guilt & no condemnation.
I don’t have it all figured out, BUT God does; FOLLOW Jesus and live approved through and by God.

Building on yesterday‘s Devotion, the devil wants to sow confusion & by using darkness, BUT Jesus is the one True Light of God.
When shame enters into the heart of a person, like Adam and Eve, what did [and does human nature still] want to do; but hide from God!
So, lies happen; & when someone lies to us it rocks our world and leaves us shaking our head of why???  BUT God will bring understanding to us; like this message is for you to encourage you how to respond to the person whom lies to you … and dispitefully uses you and persecutes you.
The deal is, they already know what they did was wrong (they don’t need us to pray that their eyes will be opened to the wrong) & they already know they lied and are continuing to lie to you.  What they need is our rightful prayer, Lord, open their eyes that they may see how DEEPLY your LOVE is FOR THEM!
No shame, just LOVE!  Prayer Changes Minds … not us, but God!
Don’t waste your time / (Nor give away your peace or joy); trying to tell them what they already know they did is wrong.  In the human nature, we tend to reverse Grace and, our prayers are not effective, but when we come into the spiritual knowledge of God, now God will move!  Instead of condemning, how did God respond to Adam, but to clothe them and promise HOPE?
Our prayers for others should match God’s Grace; through and by Jesus Name and in the power of the Faith inspired and guided by the Holy Spirit; and according to the Written Word of Instructions.
God will do what only God can do, but He tells us about what faith will do!  What is the method God will give you?
Shame comes to a person CAUSING them to hide from God & seek their refuge in anyone or anything other than God.
Think about human nature:  Did even Adam own the responsibility; or didn’t he pass the guilt to Eve & Eve to the serpent.  Shame comes to a person causing them hide from God & seek their refuge in anyone or anything other than God.
BUT GOD.  God clothed them and promised hope (JESUS) WAS COMING!
Friends, telling / repeating the wrong hoping the person will repent is reversing Grace.

God asked them why they were hiding & confirmed what HE already knew & clothed them to take away their shame.
Jesus has come to be our entire wardrobe.  Righteousness! Peace & Joy unexplainable & the full armor of God. And we have to put Jesus on.

We pray for their eyes to be opened to see into the eyes of Jesus to know how deeply God loves them.
Pray for them which dispitefully use you and persecute you (Matthew 5:44).

It is good to have a spiritual partner who listens to the Lord and responds to the prompting of the Holy Spirit. Friends, we give because we have something to give. We don't give to get; we give because we already got it to give! I received a phone call as from the Lord, and now offer this to you, "What is the one thing you would pray for your ___?" "and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;" But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and PRAY FOR THEM WHICH despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Matthew 5:44 KJV "Pray for" is not for your enemy as you might have wanted to fill in the blank. Love forgives; right? And you don't hang out with your enemy. Jesus prayed from the cross, they know not what they do, forgive them Father. Isn't that love! But what about those who know better? Is there a higher calling of us in this area? Friends, I pray I share this well for you to receive this; because when you receive this you will never be the same! Confusion is cleared, when we SEE God's instructions which goes BEYOND our thoughts! We can't wrestle with flesh & keep balanced in the Spirit. HOW WE RESPOND TO troubles matters; and quite frankly, we can TRY to respond in the natural ways, but will keep falling short of JOY. The devil can horn in if we don't know HOW to overcome these feelings that leave us somewhere between the flesh that wants to walk away & the Spirit whom calls us to stay near… Let Jesus wash your feet! Quit trying to serve Jesus and let Jesus serve you! When you receive this you will never be the same! "and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;" Now that we have identified our relationship, What is the one thing you would pray for your ___? WHO dispitefully uses you and persecutes you? __A Friend, family member, co-worker, neighbor? Who does the Bible say our neighbor is, but those God puts in a believer's path. Let Jesus wash your feet & But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Meet Karen: Hi, I am blessed, by God's good grace and because I know Jesus, I am blessed. I choose to be blessed, because I have a choice set before me and I refuse to look down. I trust God and I know and believe in the love God has for us. I have overcome difficulties; and I am blessed by the grace of God alone. If I have written about it, then I have felt the pain of it in some way, and to some degree. Did you know that Jesus has felt your pain? This is why I write. By God's grace I can identify; and tell you honestly, yes there is hope in anything and everything that you are facing today! Jesus is our Hope! He is the Truth, the Way and the Life. I am married a wonderful man, Robert Rowe; I love my husband and he loves me; and we have been married for 28 years. Together, we have been blessed with a wonderful daughter, named Amanda who is college now; and a wonderful son, named Daniel who is growing up well and soon to graduate elementary school. We work together and by God's grace we run our own business called PSI. We have a pastor over our ministry and over our business and also we depend on him for advise in our family. We have 2 dogs, 4 horses, 2 cats and love to spend time outdoors by the water and by campfires ... that is it seems when we can find time away from life's busy schedule. I love to write because it helps me learn more about God. And, I am driven by a passion from a love that God has put in my heart to share from my experiences and struggles, as I gain understanding in God’s Word to know how effective and powerful God is over our every situation! I share with you so you can know that you are not alone in your struggles. The same God who helps me and my family, is your help and shield as well! Life is not always easy, but it is possible –I like to share the difference that following Jesus makes in my life. And, I love to share God's patience and mercy and love that is with me! I am not perfect, but am experiencing God sanctify me through and through with every mistake I make; and yes, overcome in Christ! Life is not just about the successes; life on this earth is also about the troubles we overcome to discover what God has hidden in our faith to find! Troubles are more a challenge to grow in our faith ... It is not easy, but in the end the grace of God we discover is worth experiencing God in the midst. By Grace, I have discovered Jesus is Peace and He is my Joy and Wisdom from Heaven. God is our Provider and Healer and Creator, who is our help and shield over all things. By grace, I have experienced a nearness to God through my faith in His Son! We are well forgiven by God; and well blessed when we know and believe the love that God has for us. To say, "all is well with my soul" is a powerful knowledge to understand and experience. I sense God's desire for you to know His love for you and how deep His love for you is that He has SO loved you; God gave you His Son. God loves you right now just as you are! There is so much to learn! I believe that as we learn from God, we are God’s gift to each other. It is all God’s story –and for His glory; and God has SO loved us. I love to paint the vision that God has given me about a Father’s love –that God wants you to dream again and visualize His love for you! In God’s eyes, there’s more to life than we see; and in a world that sometimes misrepresents and misunderstands God and love; God wants you to have the courage to dream His dream and see His vision of a Father’s love for you! Many years ago, I prayed to God, “How can I tell a million people what I know about Your Son?” God showed me I had a gift of a ministry about God's Love; and He called it Hope in Today! I write to please God and I write to encourage you; and I write to spend quiet time with God. All because of this love that God has first shown me!
